Egypt and Sinai Tour 14 Days

DAYS 1 - 2 CAIRO & DAHAB, (SINAI)

Today we travel by bus to the Sinai Desert to join the expedition vehicle on the beach in Dahab. Here you can swim, snorkel or scuba dive to coral reefs only yards from the shore.

DAYS 3 - 5: ST CATHERINE'S MONASTERY & MOUNT SINAI

St. Catherines is the oldest monastery in the world, above which rises Mount Sinai, where Moses received the Ten Commandments. We catch the ferry across the Suez Canal and follow the Red Sea to the Nile.

DAYS 6 & 7 - ASWAN & THE NUBIAN DESERT, ABU SIMBEL

With the desert sands rolling in to the Nile river, Aswan is one of the most beautiful towns in Egypt. You can cross the Nubian Desert to the monuments at Abu Simbel built by Pharoah Rameses II.

DAYS 8 & 9 - THE NILE ON A FELUCCA

We sail by felucca on the Nile to see the river's ancient farming life while eating and sleeping on the boat.

DAYS 10 & 11 - LUXOR

LUXOR:- This stretch of the Nile with its tombs, monolithic statues, and dozens of Pharaonic temples makes up one immense outdoor museum. Karnak is the largest temple complex in Egypt; it's best seen lit up during the evening sound and light show. Across the Nile are the twin statues of the Colossi of Memnon guarding the road to the Valley of the Kings with Tutankhamen's Tomb.

Luxor, tombs, monolithic statues, and dozens of Pharaonic temples, Karnak.

DAYS 12, 13, & 14 - WESTERN DESERT & CAIRO

We cross the Western Desert with its oases and hot springs, taking a 200 mile sweep into the Sahara. It only rains here every 25 years. We arrive in Cairo on the last day of the trip and visit the Pyramids and Sphinx.

Western Desert, the Sahara, Cairo, the Pyramids and Sphinx.

Cost includes:-
The tour cost includes transport in fully equipped expedition truck, road taxes and tolls, ferries, services of the driver-leader, use of camping and cooking equipment, and entrance to gameparks as specified.

Cost Excludes:-
The price does not include flights, visas, personal insurance, side trips, lunches and meals out. There are a number of optional side trips that you can choose from and pay for on the way.

What to bring along:-
A full list of items will be issued on receipt and confirmation of your reservation. We suggest you travel light. Please pack warm clothes for the winter months of June to September. Further items should include a torch, water bottle, spare film and camera batteries, binoculars, suntan lotion, comfortable walking shoes and any prescription medication.
