The partner plan for Backpack Internet has two facets:
1. One can be a sales agent for the system, or
2. One can be a listed vendor on the system.
Being a sales agent means that you can make bookings at any of the listed acoomodation providers, tour operators or other vendors, and pocket a sales commission for every sale! The commissions vary, but will typically range from 5% to 15% on any one booking.
Being a listed vendor means that you may display your own accommodation/tours/transportation on the system and receive online, realtime bookings. In addition, you automatically qualify for sales commission, as you become a sales agent yourself by default. This means that if you make bookings on behalf of clients using the Backpack Internet system, you qualify for sales commission provided your system logon is keyed in for that booking as a refrence number.
