We are a well established 5 star backpackers nestled at the foot of the hill in quiet surroundings and we offer perfect comfort. Naval Hill is known amongst backpackers as the 5 star hostel where comfort and homely hospitality are what count most.
We offer dormitory accommodation as well as double, twin or triple rooms. Our spacious house is situated in a safe and exclusive suburb of Bloemfontein. The camping area offers a well attended lawn, beautiful large trees, and barbecue facilities. The kitchen, living room and bathrooms are available to the camper at no additional cost.
Our bathrooms have both hot showers and baths, and are always kept immaculately clean.
The fully equipped kitchen, including freezer, two ovens, stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, sinks, cooking utensils and cutlery is available to our guests, or if you are not in the mood for cooking, you may spoil yourself with our variety of breakfasts. Self - help tea and coffee are available to all our guests.
Laundry facilities (washing machine, tumble dryer ) are available.
We are next to the Franklin Game Reserve on Naval Hill.
We have a free pick-up service from the train station and bus stations. Day trips could be organised to the following places. (Please make arrangements well in advance) :-
- Kimberley.
- The Soetdoring Nature Reserve.
- The Maria Maroko Nature Reserve.
- Willem Pretorius Nature Reserve.
- Lesotho ( We have regular lifts to Lesotho. )

The weather in Bloemfontein is usually quite hot in summer ( 15°-30° C ) and very cold in winter ( -3°-20° C ). The summer is our rainfall season with thunder showers seldom lasting more than a day, while winter days are usually cold but sunny.
