The Town :- Kwambonambi
Kwambonambi, meaning " the place where the chiefs gather " is a historical village in the culture of the Zulu Nation. It is the last resting place for the Zulu Chiefs and was the place where the mighty Zulu King " Shaka Zulu " spent the first eighteen years of his life with his mother Nandi.
King Shaka was the Zulu warrior king, his weapons were made by the master forger craftsmen of Kwa " People of Mbonambi " in later years became famous for its wilderness areas now known as " Umfolozi " and " Hluhluwe " Game Reserves and the greater St. Lucia Wetland Park, which is a world heritage site.
These are the oldest reserves in Africa opened in 1895.

We will show you and abundance of water life at St. Lucia - Hippos, crocodiles, pelicans, watching the Great Africa Fish Eagle catch fish on the estuary while on board a ferry boat with the Natal Parks Board.
The Zulu culture is still remembered by several traditional Zulu villages, showing life as it was in a Zulu "kraal" family home you will see Zulu dancing at its best, where the beat of the African drums and the pounding of the feet of the Zulu warriors, spear making, " hut " house building and warrior training.
