INTRODUCTION

The Lodge
Approximately 4 hours from Johannesburg and 2 hours from Durban. The lodge is located in Weenen Tukela Basin. Located 30Km south of the Weenen Game Reserve. The Lodge adjoins the Tukela bioshpere in the heart of the Kwazulu Natal Midlands.

The lodge offers the perfect remote getaway weekend for those who want to escape the pressure of the rat race.

Imbabala is 500 ha of pristine bush situated around the hub of Mt. Moria (1090m), 10m lower than Van Reenen's Pass. The perfect cover of Mt. Moria is home to kudu, black and blue Wildebeest, Blesbok, Bushpig, Bushbuck, Nyala, Mountain Reedbuck and Duiker.

Accommodation
Our accommodation is a friendly old farm house with huge bedrooms. Each room has been set out to accommodate a family with a double bed or 2 singles & a set of double bunks. Each room has a bathroom on suite. Our top Rondavel has been laid out in an identical fashion.

Meals
We have a set menu (3 meals a day) based on good old home cooking. When booking, we request your meal preferences and prepare our menu to your preference. The main meal is topped off with the best home prepared desserts in KZN.

Lapa and Bar
We have full bar facilities for our staying guests and we urge you to support it. The range is good and the prices reasonable. All is set up in a thatch Lapa woth rock walls and rogh wood surround. Darts & Dominos make up the after dark entertainment.

Conferences
Our facilities are a great test for teambuilding weekends. Although we have fairly limited accommodation, we welcome the use of our lodge for small conferences. In the interim, we are presently building bigger, better facilities.

ACTIVITIES:

Quad Biking
Although we list ourselves as a lodge, we encourage the offroad fraternity. We realised a market niche catering for 4x4 adventure trails, quad and bike trails. It is a circuit loop +/- 16Kms which is perfect terrain for quad and amateur 4x4 enthusiasts. For the more experienced, we have a trail ascending Mt. Moriah. It is approximately 52Kms of gut wrenching 4x4. The trail has been rated as 'difficult' by the 4x4 magazines. We also have a 4x4 / Quad test trail, which is truly exciting.

Horse Riding
Our 8 horses are true members of the family but require experienced riders. We have a 1 hour trail around the homestead or a 3 hour Out of Africa ride with good game viewing en route. Further trails can be arranged on request.

Fishing
Fishing, a rare pleasure to catch the famous big mouth bass. Rods are available for hire from the lodge at a nominal fee. We request that unless you require your fish for a trophy, it's catch and release. Shooting for the noisy crowd, we have a trap machine & supply guns, shot and clays for those who'd like to have a go!

Hiking
Walks are long and leisurly and for those who require some background knowledge of the environment. Our inhouse ranger, John Smith or Uncle John as he is known to all, will gladly escort you on a Donga Walk. His knowledge of the fauna and flora is both interesting and informative.

Game Viewing
For those who enjoy a guided drive into the unknown, we have a game drive vehicle for your pleasure and can accommodate day or night drives. This is not your conventional type drive and you might find a fair amount of off road 4x4 thrown in.

Children
Kids are catered for with a playground, trampolines and a swimming pool for their enjoyment. We ask that parents keep a close eye on toddlers in this area.
