THE ULTIMATE OKAVANGO EXPERIENCE
 Welcome to the home page of Guma Lodge.
Guma Lodge offers peace and tranquility with a spectacular and exclusive view over the Lagoon, one of the largest Lagoons in the North West of the Delta.
The lodge is situated on the banks of the beautiful Lagoon bordered by Palm trees, Papyrus and Reed beds.
A 40 minute boat drive brings you to the main Okavango River in the pan handle where Tiger fish abound and the many inlets offer good Bream fishing.
Guma Lodge offers a very relaxed family atmosphere, a fishing, Mokoro and birdwatchers paradise.

ACCOMMODATION
 Guma Lodge offers both luxury accommodation in stilted tents and has camping facilities.
|
LODGE
 Set amongst large indigenous trees, the Lodge offers accommodation in 8 stilted luxury meru en-suite tents.
Meals include full English breakfast, hot or cold lunch and three course dinner.
|
CAMP SITE
 This self-catering facility can accommodate 8 campers in walk-in tents with beds and all linen provided but not towels.
The campsite can also accommodate 4 rooftop tents or 4 self erected tents.
Separate ablution facilities, scullery and mess are available.

ACTIVITIES
 Guma Lodge offers a host of activities for guests to participate in whilst at the Lodge.
|
FISHING
 There is excellent Tiger fishing throughout the year except in July and August, as well as Bream and Barbel.
The Barbel run starts anytime from mid to late September and can go on until December.
Fishing gear is available for use.

BIRD WATCHING
 This is a prime spot for bird watching, by mokoro, boat or on walks.
|
MOKORO TRAILS
Dependant on water and flood from Angola. Half day and full day trips available. Overnight trips can also be arranged however equipment is to be supplied by clients.
|
BOATING
 The lodge provides 4 large boats which take 6 - 8 people.
Special boating arrangements for fly fishing groups can be made on request.

PICNIC / BARBEQUE
One of the specialties of the lodge is the way in which it caters for food and refreshments during boating and Mokoro day trips.

DIRECTIONS TO GUMA FROM MAUN
Guma Lodge is accessable by road from Maun by normal saloon car. The last 13 kilometres from Etsha 13 to Guma Lodge are only negotiable by 4x4 vehicle. You can drive to Etsha 13 and then leave your vehicle there. We will collect you from Etsha 13. This can be arranged when you make your booking.

By Vehicle
Tar road from Maun to Etsha 13, approximately 13 km's. Last 11 km's from Etsha 13 to Guma only negotiable by 4x4, but facilities are available to leave saloon cars at Etsha 13 and transfer to the Lodge by 4x4 arranged. Total mileage from Maun to Guma is 311 km's.
N.B Petrol available in Maun and Etsha 6, approximately 285km's from Maun and 26 km's from the lodge.

By Plane
 Airstrip at Lodge is suitable for most single engine and light twin engine aircraft.
